America in my everyday life

My Lonesome yet prideful 4th of July

I want to take a moment to honor America as she turns 234 years old. oldie but goodie.

Dear America,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! can you believe you are 234 years old? do you feel any different? i love to think back to 234 years ago (in 1776) when our nation gained its independence. the blood and battle that our founding fathers and all the strong colonists went through set the stage for the prestigious America and what you stand for today: honor, bravery, strength, courage, liberty, freedom, acceptance, respect, flexibility, patriotism, and pride. you conquered Great Britain, you broke free from the binding chains of slavery, you compromised through the civil war and united back together forever, and you have prevailed past other strong nations and have become the best, the strongest, the most mighty, and the most patriotic nation today. the British are trying to screw you over again by spilling some oil on your coast..will that stop you? NO! you will rise past BP's naive work ethic and your strength, dedication, devotion, and hard work will persevere. your strong and noble leader, Obama, will prove himself as he cleans the oil balls with his own bare hands. we shall unite from sea to shining sea and protect you, America. let the stars radiantly sparkle on that royal blue, and let the red and white stripes wave through the triumphant wind. As that star spangled banner yet waved one night long ago, it will wave again. for the land of the free and home of the brave.

Love,

your number one fan, Kat

happy birthday to you. happy birthday to you. happy birthday dear AMERICAAAAAA, happy birthday to you.
